BIOTAQ's Universal RNA is total RNA reference isolated from whole tissue
sources of human, mouse, and rat. Human universal RNA is prepared from
over 28 different human adult normal and fetal normal major organs;
Mouse universal RNA is prepared from several male and female mice whole
bodies without fur. Rat universal RNA is prepared from several male and
female rat whole bodies without fur. Total RNA is isolated by modified
guanidine thiocyanate techniques, and is purified further using BIOTAQ's
proprietary purification procedures for Capillary Electrophoresis (CE)
applications. CEgrade Universal RNA represents the highest standards in
purity for these materials.
The integrity of the RNA is examined by inspecting the presence of
intact peaks of 18s and 28s ribosomal RNA when electrophoreses on
Agilent 2100. The quality and purity of total RNA were also measured
using spectrophotometer. A260/280 is between 1.8 and 2.0 (detected in
10mM Tris-Cl, pH 7.5). The RNA is treated by DNase I, and is tested as
DNA free by PCR. cDNA synthesis is successfully performed using this
universal RNA as template. |
